Few minutes drive from center of Bandar Seri Begawan is isolated Mangroves when nature still dominates, traveling past the old and new water villages (Venice of east) housing towards the mangrove – lined waterways. Moving quietly along the narrow mangrove channels, stopping to listen and look for the birds and animals life than call the mangroves home. Here you can observe the shy proboscis monkey (Only fond in Borneo) tour guide will explain you the mangrove ecology and some of the diversity of plants and animal life in the tangle of mangrove, vines, palms and tree. This is an introduction to Brunei’s unique wilderness in the rainforest region. After your morning breakfast at De Royalle Café, you will travel by local water jetty from Bandar Seri Begawan through a network of river and channels around the back of Brunei bay. You’ll pass by dense mangrove island and possibly see wildlife that maybe enjoying the early morning sunrays along the way. The journey will continue you from Bangar (the regional capital of Temburong) to historical museum, after morning tea 15min drive to “Bukit Patoi” park here you can take a walk to top of the mountain you can enjoy the panoramic view of Temburong region, after lunch at local restaurant in Bangar city, travel upstream through the rapids of the Temburong River using traditional longboats, to the national park entrance. At tree top level you can enjoy the panoramic view of the rainforest unfolding in front of you. Enjoy great specialties besides the river, swim and relax before returning back by longboat. Before depart from terminal poin to Bangar you will visit Iban Longhouse where local cakes and tea will be served. And drive to catch a water Taxi back to Bandar Seri Begawan.
